3 DAYS THROUGH THE DESERT TO MARRAKECH
For those who have 3 days, we suggest getting to know the center and south of Morocco, reaching the desert but without ignoring the wonderful palm groves, valleys, mountains and Berber villages that we will find along the way.
ITINERARY
DAY 1:
FEZ – IFRANE – AZROU- MONKEY FOREST – MERZOUGA DESERT.
From Fez we will go through the Middle Atlas mountains stopping in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next town will be Azrou passing through the national park known for its cedar trees where the famous monkeys of the area are found. Next we will tour the Ziz Valley that will lead us to Erfoud, known for its fossils. Arrival in the desert where we will take a camel ride through the desert until we reach the heart of the desert where we will be welcomed, according to the tradition of the Sahara with a Berber tea, dinner and a drum party in the Sahara camp.
DAY 2:
THE MERZOUGA DESERT – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY.
You are already in the desert! …Today, it is mandatory to get up early to see the sunrise from the top of the dunes, we have breakfast and we will leave the dunes behind and head towards Tinghir where we will visit the Todra Gorges, an old sewage system from the 15th century. We will also take a look at the Tinghir palm grove, after which we will reach the Todra Gorges where we will rest. Next, we will walk through the city and the Boumalne Dades valley to reach the Dades Gorges. There, the river has eroded the rocks to create a beautiful landscape. Dinner and accommodation in the dades valley.
DAY 3:
VALLE DEL DADES – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – ALTO ATLAS – MARRAKECH.
Tomorrow to take the guided tour of Marrakech. It is a spectacular city, where there is a permanent party as can be seen in the famous DJema el Fna Square, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which for several centuries has constituted the most incredible popular theater in the world: snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, fortune tellers, actors, fortune tellers… But we cannot forget that its destiny is linked to that of the different dynasties that have succeeded one another, just as its tradition as a political, economic and cultural metropolis has always dominated history. from the Maghreb. In Marrakech there are countless places to visit, for example, Medersa Ben Youssef, the Menara, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal Garden, the Tombs of the Saadians and the Badi and Bahia Palaces.
